Stay informed about the UV index: Check the UV index before heading outdoors. The UV index provides information about the intensity of UV rays in your area. Higher UV index values indicate greater sun exposure risks, so take extra precautions when the index is high.

Check your skin regularly: Perform regular self-examinations of your skin to look for any changes, new moles, or suspicious spots.
